Sometimes i go out at night, and i look at the stars in the sky, and i cant help but wondering just how small we are... The universe is so damn big, and it makes me think whether our lives are really that important or not...
I made this to show how much we are small in a huge world. Notice the man on the land, he is the key to this whole piece. FULL VIEW IS A MUST or else, you wont see anything... Really, it's worth the wait, trust me... I cant believe this is finally over... when i uploaded the Teaser picture, i wanted the people to see something attractive, yet, nothing from the real stuff, so that they wont disapointed with the real work... I hope i succeeded. I put a lot of time to think about every single detail i could think of, working with new techniques and discovering that i can do things i never thought i would... ------------------- Some Stats -Time: 25+ hours, 6+ days, 100+ headaches -Program: Photoshop 7.0 (all from scratch baby) -Original size: 1800/3505 px, shrunk down to be uploaded -PSD file size: 99.5 MB -PSD layers count: 100+ layers Thanks to ~scifisrc - ~TerraStock Enjoy.... |

In this case, it seems like the lack of detail in the man is one of the best details, because it leaves him without an identity, which in turn makes him seem even more insignificant.
The reflections in the river are awesome, and the red mist along the ground gives it an eerie feeling and helps the mood of the picture a lot.
The rocky, mountainous landscape, along with the red, reminds me of Australia, but thats probably just me.
I cant really tell if the moon is transparent or if the clouds etc are in front of it, but either way, the effect is awesome, and the hugeness of it when looking at the lower half of the picture, but its much smaller appearance when looking at the top is amazing, and it shows that even planets can be insignificant.
In the top half of the piece, there are dozens of clusters of stars, none of which appear the same, which is in itself an acheivement.
I love how you use lights on other planets
I can see one small planet in the 'space' area of the pic, and I think it looks good with just one.
Is the red streak through the middle another galaxy? coz it looks awesome, and could be seen as the entrance to a series of more and more solar systems, making the universe larger and larger, and therefore making us smaller and smaller.
... is that a lego satalite around that planet?? it looks like a blonde lego head with a body and wings
To finish up this massive comment, I love it. the colours and the landscapes, and the stars and the planets... the whole thing comes together beautifully and the overall effect is breathtaking.
you know my reasons for hesitating to favourite your stuff... but this one gets the gold star without a second thought.
nicely done my dear... all the effort was well worth it

MWWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
yes, indeed i wanted the man without details, i want him to be without an identity, so that he would be able to represent all of us... u know?
the stars, u know, the different ones, they took 3 hours, just them... It's 34+ layers of stars and such, and i wanted them to look different, so that it would show that the cosmos is so huge, yet so different, not just copy+past
for the sattelite, i dont know if it's a lego, lol... i just found the picture and used it... so, if it was, oh well
